Make A Difference Day

CCA participated in Make A Difference Day on October 26, 2017, with projects for all of our students, Kindergarten through 12th grade:

Volunteer Chore Services: home and yard projects for disabled/senior adults

Lighthouse clean-up

Sleep Tight Project: Making fleece blankets for foster/shelter children

Singing for elderly people

Christmas stockings for foster children (CASA)

Camp Zanika fall clean up

CCA was awarded a $200 grant towards 2017 Make A Difference Day materials! This grant was made possible through USA Weekend Magazine prizes from the Gannett Foundation, now managed by the Community Foundation of NCW.

A group of CCA junior high students had a great time working on Christmas stockings for CASA.

CCA high school students spent the day helping with fall clean up and getting Camp Zanika ready for the winter.

CCA fifth graders made 14 fleece blankets for children benefiting from the Sleep Tight Project.

Another group of CCA junior high students worked with Volunteer Chore Services, helping with home and yard projects for disabled and senior adults.

CCA fourth and fifth graders visited Blossom Valley and enjoyed talking and singing with the residents.

CCA students in Kindergarten through third grade visited residents of River West and were very energetic with their singing.
