Enrollment

Steps to Enrollment

Educational Success Consultation

CCA’s enrollment process begins with a free Educational Success Consultation (ESC), which includes a meeting with the principal and a school tour. This is the best opportunity for both the school and the family to learn about educational goals, as well as spiritual, emotional and physical goals for the student. The ESC is highly valuable in establishing shared outcomes for growing and educating students enrolled at CCA. Both parents and student(s) are encouraged to attend.

Finances

CCA's tuition and other financial information is provided during the ESC; multiple payment plans and methods are available to accommodate varying family budgets. Tuition assistance based on financial need is available. It is the goal of CCA's Administration, Board, supporting churches and donors that an education at CCA be available to those with financial need who desire a Christian education for their student. In recent years, over $125,000 annually has been provided to assist CCA families.

Application and Admissions Process

An application packet is provided at the ESC which provides the materials and information necessary to complete the application process. Gathering and reviewing these materials takes time, and because a class may fill in advance of the new school year, it is strongly recommended that parents and students allow ample time to complete the application process.

After all application materials have been submitted, the Admissions Committee will meet to consider the application. The admissions process is designed to identify students who demonstrate motivation and the desire to excel. The Admissions Committee considers academic performance and recommendations regarding character, behavior, and a desire to attend CCA. Upon approval, a welcome letter will be mailed to the student and family.

Testing

Students who have completed the application process are tested in advance of enrollment to assess reading, spelling, and arithmetic skills. The Wide Range Achievement Test 4 (WRAT4) is used for this assessment and is an effective and popular tool. Testing results are utilized to confirm grade-readiness and identify strengths and weaknesses.

More Opportunities to Experience CCA

Shadow Day

Students and families are invited to schedule a "shadow day" to meet teachers and students. This is a wonderful way for students and their families to gain a greater understanding and appreciation for all that CCA's learning environment has to offer.

Classroom Visitation Day

This Hawaiian-themed annual event taking place in January-February each year, is a great opportunity to welcome anyone who is interested in attending CCA to experience what we have to offer. Kindergarten through 5th grade have activities from 8:00 am to 9:45 am and grades 6-12 have classes & activities from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon.
