Steps to Enrollment
Educational Success Consultation
CCA’s enrollment process begins with a free Educational Success Consultation (ESC), which includes a meeting with the principal and a school tour. This is the best opportunity for both the school and the family to learn about educational goals, as well as spiritual, emotional and physical goals for the student. The ESC is highly valuable in establishing shared outcomes for growing and educating students enrolled at CCA. Parents and student(s) are encouraged to attend.
CCA's tuition and fees information is provided during the ESC; multiple payment plans and payment methods are available to accommodate varying family budgets. It is our goal that an education at CCA be available to those who desire a Christian education for their student. Student work opportunities, tuition discounts, scholarships, 529 Savings Plans, and need-based tuition assistance are available. More information on that can be found here, Paying for Christian Education.
An application packet is provided at the ESC which provides the materials and information necessary to complete the application process. Gathering and reviewing these materials takes time, and because a class may fill in advance of the new school year, it is strongly recommended that parents and students allow ample time to complete the application process.
Students are tested prior to enrollment to assess reading, spelling, and arithmetic skills. The Wide Range Achievement Test 4 (WRAT4) is used for this assessment and is an effective and popular tool. Testing results are utilized to confirm grade-readiness and identify strengths and weaknesses.
The admissions process is designed to identify students who demonstrate motivation and the desire to excel. Consideration is given to academic performance and recommendations regarding character, behavior, and a desire to attend CCA. After application materials have been submitted and testing has been completed, the Admissions Committee will meet to consider the application. Upon approval, a welcome letter will be mailed to the student and family.
More Opportunities to Experience CCA
Students and families are invited to schedule a "shadow day" to meet teachers and students. This is a wonderful way for students and their families to gain a greater understanding and appreciation for all that CCA's learning environment has to offer. Please contact Heather Fredericksen to schedule a shadow day.
This themed annual event taking place in January-February each year, is a great opportunity to welcome anyone who is interested in attending CCA to experience what we have to offer. Kindergarten through 5th grade have activities from 8:00 am to 9:45 am and grades 6-8 have classes & "move-up" activities from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. Students in grades 7 & 8 move up for the morning classes for an opportunity to experience high school courses.
An informal open house is available to drop in weekly on Thursdays.
