Being a teacher has always been my dream job, even as a young girl. I come from a very large family with 6 younger sisters and one younger brother, all of whom I love dearly! As the oldest child, I was constantly watching over my siblings. This turned me into a "little mother" as my parents would say, and I believe that has helped shape me into the nurturing educator I am today.
While I was raised in the public school system, I made the decision to go to Walla Walla University to pursue my degree in Elementary Education. This decision further shaped me as an individual, educator, and child of God; through WWU I was able to make lifelong friendships, strengthen my relationship with Christ, and connect with my dream job of teaching at CCA.
In my spare time you can find me hiking around Wenatchee with my husband Zach, jogging around town, or playing with my sweet kitty, Nala. In the past, I worked at the humane society in Walla Walla as the Education Assistant, where I had the opportunity to visit classrooms and teach them about the shelter and the animals within. Children and animals are two of my biggest passions in life and I have been blessed to have been able to combine them for the last four years.
While I am very proud of my BS in Elementary Education, I don't plan on stopping there! In the near future I will be returning to WWU through their online masters program to obtain a Masters in Special Education. I firmly believe that children of all levels of ability deserve the same quality of education, and it is our duty as educators to provide that. I look forward to seeing what God has in plan for me and my lovely students!
